Grades in College

If possible go see the prof in person. If you can not, explain why not; email only does not show the prof you really care.

As for grades, it really depends on the class. When I was in college, there are certain filter class. Electromagnetics is one of them.
Everyone has to take it. The average grade usually is a 70, and the prof graded strickly at a 10 point scale.
 
ya 82 is a BC. 83 is a B.

I emailed him just before. I will let you know how it goes
 
My prof just emailed me back saying he rounds up anyway so I did get a BC.

Pretty happy!
 
I've had ones that always round up, ones that always round down, and some that use discretion and will sometimes offer EC to bump you up. If it's not spelled out in the syllabus then it never hurts to ask. Like it did here.
