I decided to get the new fish out to evaluate their progress. I got these since early January till now. I graduated two dats and introduced them into my community tank. Within 10 mins they were being cornered by RKC Orino gang. I got the net and saved them into bucket. Luckily no harm done by the RKC Orino gang. Next up is the 7" tig I graduated from growout status, I man handled him with my hand and he was making a grunting noise. I've never heard of fish making noise before until today.:D He went into the big tank and the pbass didn't care much for it. The 15" congicus was sizing him up so I was standing there observing but he was not on the menu. I'll update in a few days on the Tig. Here are some JDM pics.

woah, they look awesome. REal beauties
Thanks. It's hard to imagine these guys were grown from dime size. I spent a lot of money on live food getting them to this size.

Look good man! How big is the Clown Loach?
That loach in the back is about 5-6". I have another giant loach about 12" but I could hardly ever get a good pic of it.

it all depends on how you train your datnoids,my previous big dats ate from surface and bottom and nice

i think most catfish make that grunting noise... my pim. blochii made the same noise when i was transferring them out of the tank.

they'll eat all range of food, once they open their mouth, they'll eat anything
Hmm...any tips on training them to take pellets?

It's weird hearing a fish make noise. I wonder if they make this noise when mating.

You need to put some size on them first, before thinking about pellets. Shrimps for now. ;)
