what would be suited in a 120 community cichlid set with e.g fm,jd,sajica, tex, jag and gt? they would be in there as a grow out until i get the 65 set up?
btw the festae would be female:screwy: any thoughts?

don't add a thing to that tank, plenty stocked as it is. even as a growout tank.

How long have you had the tank done that way? Guessing the jag hasn't grown large enough to turn the sajica and firemouths into snacks! Adding festae or grammodes would just compound guaranteed future problems.

I agree. And I would seperate out the FM and sajica from the rest, and keep an eye on the JD, as it might get beat up by the jag and gt aswell.

no aggression in my tank:)seriously. i will be getting rid of 1 out of the 2 jags when they grow abit-there only 2-3"(in the tank for 3weeks ans grown alot) . my jags dont seem to be aggressive and there not the smallest.IMO jags aggression is way over hyped....like most cichlids bar dovii:) i have spoken to a couple of people who have fms living with jags with no problem. the tank has been set up for 6weeks not deaths, no split fins and 2 spawning has happened in that tank. i no it most likey not work in the long run, but its worth a shot and i have tanks for the jag when he gets beat up my the FM:ROFL:(im joking) the texas will also be going.
so RT or gram? w/c 40%a week or more, each fish has atleast grow 1"-
65 should be set up within 2 month but these are rare here so i will be getting one(there at juvie size) i have a 20 set up now just in case.

i don't think it's overcrowded per se, but the mix of fish is not ideal.

the sajica and FM would become fish sticks after a while because they aren't that aggressive.

grammodes are quite nasty even at a small size. but they grow slow, so there's some advantage in that.
female festaes can be quite aggressive as well.

wellive ordered both,a wild caught female festae from ecuador and a grammode. both around 3-5". the biggest will be in a 35 and the other in a 20 untill i get my 100g set up for them and my jags
