Ok... I want to get some premium food for my fh.

Choice one is Grand Sumo Growth and Grand Sumo Red.

Choice two is ChingMix SP100 Headbooster and SP100 Maxima.

I need some advice on which to get. I'm leaning towards Grand Sumo but ChingMix appears to be a little less expensive.

i have use chingmix sp100 HB and it turn out pretty good.
havnt try grand sumo yet..but you could nd tell me how is it :]

those are both good, i used to feed my FH both, if you can that's a good idea to vary it.

varied diet is best.
Agreed and see what's compatible with him or what works best with your FH.

I have chingmix right now and it works with color and kok but i also feed them bloodworms, market, brine and freeze dried shrimp, Hakari bio gold and a few other things. But i dont think the high power flowerhon food is overated by a long shot.

Save your money and buy them other food. I tried those food a few years back and I have noticed that grand sumo really beef up the food and I did not see any different with chingmix.

I fed my waterhead fh with nothing but goldfish pellet for 3 weeks with and my fish colored up nicely and the hump was just as big. For those that are familiar with waterhead kamfah, the head shrinks if the fish is not happy.
I tested on a few of my fh and I came to the final conclusion that if you spend more money for a higher quality fish and feed it with a varied diet along with clean water and tank space, your fish will show its attribute. Don't buy a cheap poor quality fish and feed it expensive food and expect it to grow to the same quality level as the more expensive ones.
