Grape Vine????

well i think to be safe you should take a pic for us to make sure u have grape vine and well than we can put all the assumption to sleep..

open mouth...insert foot. that's what i did last night! looked at my grape vine, had some funky white flemmy **** growing all over it. instantly removed the piece of snot growing wannabe wood. let the water changes begin!!!

i went from good to go...to a big no go, in a matter of hours in there. it was in fact shortly after my last "everything is ok" post...my bad everyone. and if you listened to me having success and went and got grapevine for your tank...take it out now. i did not warranty my work, or guarantee success, so i will not be offering refunds. sorry if you've wasted your $$$$$.

a white filmy growth is somewhat common on new wood nothing to worry about

not worth the risk to me...had to let it go. i only paid like $9 for it so it's whatever.

I tried a couple times. Both times, I got that same white growth all over the wood.

that white slime is a algae and will go away in a week or two. It will not harm the fish. I had it on a expensive piece of african root

like i said though...not worth risking my entire tank of fish.

I get that white slimey cottony stuff on every kind of wood I put in, it goes away after a week or 2.
