Garman, you need a tank thats over a thousand gallons to support a full grown muskie. May i suggest a chain pickerel which could get up to twenty inches
I think chains get biggger than that pf13. I would go for a grass or redfin pickerel.

thanks, do pickerel grow fast? cause i want to get the a redfin at 1.5 - 3 inches but i dont want my rock bass to eat it.

as far as i know esox species grow rather quickly...faster than other natives or at least thats what i have heard

ok good then i dont have to worry about it getting eaten

Ive heard tiger muskie are supposed to be one of the fastest growing fish in north america, but I think thats because they are hybrids. Simple man hasnt had his for very long, so I dont know if they have even grown noticably yet! If you get them at a similar size, then I think you will be ok

The larger esox sp. slow down once they reach around 2.5-3 feet. A 500gal will last a pike or muskie for a good amount of time.
