Actually from the pic the leaves seem to to be to small to be glosso. I think its Hemianthus callitrichoides. Hard to tell from the pic but i've kept both glosso and now growing Hemianthus callitrichoides in my tank.
That aquarium is described in a book I have, and the book says it's Glossostigma elatinoides. And BTW, the tank is 685g so that's maybe why the leaves seems small ;)
Nice tank you have.

Yeah those discus are probally 8 in. tall.

Ohhh lol I didnt know it was that big of a tank...Oops. :duh:

Fishheadsoup: Yes I use Co2 with a inline reactor off my Xp3 canister. Tons of light and ferts every other day.

Thanks for the kind words everyone...got to go get this foot out of my mouth now.

Thats called Blyxa Japonica, And it would cover the bottom but you would havebuy a bunch of it or trim and replant over and over to get it to cover it doesnt send out runners like Dwarf Sagittaria does. The way to propogate it is to clip off the new plants and replant them. It does grow pretty quick with my setup but i tried it in a cherry shrimp tank with low light and no co2 and it never grew. If your looking for something similar to that I would suggest Dwarf Sagittaria. its not as bushy but will give it that tall grassy look. Might even be better for the bichirs to swim through rather then running into lots of big bushes.
It sends out runners of plants and will eventually grow everywhere so no need in pruning and replanting. Does well in a low light tank just takes a while to start growing, but when it does it doesnt stop.

If your looking for some plants you can try some of the planted tank forums people are always selling plants cheap. Thats where most of mine come from. plantedtank.net or aquaticplantcentral.com are 2 of the best imo
