You either had your intake tube too close to the sand or you did not wash the sand before putting it in the tank. When I cleaned my PFS and then put it in the tank, I had absolutely no cloudy water even right after doing it. All the light sand was overflowed out while I agitated it with my hand in the 5 gallon bucket with the hose running and I when I put it in the tank, it all sank immediately. I also emptied half of the tank to make things easier
