I was just wondering what you guys thought about having gravel in your tanks or just leaving the bottom bare? I think it would definately make it easier for cleanup if it was bare, but is there some kind of advantage to having gravel?

well i guess a lot of it depends on what kinds of fish you plan on keeping. i'd start there.

Depends on what I am keeping. But more often than not, since I usually prefer reef tanks, I use sand. I have never liked gravel, just not natural enough looking for me, but that's just MO.

I like my tank bottoms bare. They are alot easier to keep clean, since you can see all the waste. I do put large rocks and other decorations in the tanks for territories.

I prefer the bottoms bare. Oh, and I also prefer bare bottom tanks.
