Gravel Scratching?

had that problem with my orino's if any of you can remember last month sometime. Within a few days of feeding, they just stopped eating, and were getting white cloudy spots on them. Figured out the water was toxic, soon there eye's were cloudy too. Don't add S&#T, get them out into water about the same temp. Drain the tank out completely, scrub it with soap and water, and refill it. My recommendation is get yourself an R/O system for your faulcet, it gets rid of all unwanted things in your water for fish, usually around $45.00, fill the tank with all R/O water, and get the R/O mix for freshwater aquariums, around $5-8. Don't add anything else to the water, and within a day or two you will notice the white cloud on their backs going away. Also, whenever you add water due to evaporation, or a water change, use the R/O water. My pbass have never looked more healthier since doing this, and my parameters are damn near perfect. Good Luck !!! Get them out quickly, the more crap you add, the more your making your water toxic to them. There fish not people, so their tolerance is low.

lol soap and water? bradda your crazzy! cloudy eyes? sounds like high nitrates... prime and big water changes will solve the problem.. toxic? depends on what your adding to you water... soap pretty toxic if you ask me... but to back you up i dont add anything to my water beside stress coat and once and a blue prime.

YEP RIP------My biggest orino (wild) and my new Ocell
as soon as i got home from work yesterday i had planned on doing a water change and clean the filter element and so on, yeah found two dead and the others were ok, changed half of the water cleaned the gravel cleaned the plants and driftwood, setup with prime, cycle and a little bit of salt kept the temp high and hoped for the best. Woke up this morning all was well, water was a little cloudy still but the fish were still alive and lively... i hope the last 4 stay ok. To answer the question about water clarity ill check when i get home, tank size 120 gallon, filtration cascade 1500

you guys have never drained your tanks, took them outside and scrubbed the glass with a sponge and a bucket of soapy water, then rise it with the hose. Ahhhhh what's so funny about that? Unless I need to go back and read what I typed.

:angryfireyeah that cascade works well but im going to buy the fluval fx5 SOON! but now i only have 4 pbass, it just upsets me i finally had an ocel and it died and my biggest wild orino died... kind of frusterating!
