gravel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Fish keeping is a trial and error thing.. u make stupid mistakes along the way...

so find out what works and what doesnt

if u want to see examples try going to Youtube and look it up.. plenty of examples....

However if u want a tip on gravel wise.. dont waste money on exotic color gravel when regular river bed rocks work fine..

try going to a nursery (gardening) or home deport.. thats where i get mine.. nice variety of River bed rocks.... but if u want to get gravel that reflects a fish like Black/ Blue with an EBJD like me.. then ya.. get gravel.... lol ;)

Oh and. FH love caves.. try getting a cermeric pot.. Cichlids love those

FHs do not love caves. They never under unless some other fish are chasing it, being forced to hide under. The only time they go down the cave would be when they want to breed in there.

Like I mentioned above, they hide because something(other fish) is making them hide as you just mentioned.

When FHs become adults, they never hide and caves get in their way even sometimes during breeding. When female lays in the cave, male can't go in to fertilize the eggs.:(
