i got 1000GPH of TOR on my 56 gallon too. nothing wrong with it, given the fish are not fragile swimmers.

however, i still don't fully understand the original question..

You have 1000gph of Koralia on the 55g & still have gunk on the sand? Sounds like you should adjust the flow...
