Here in Japan, we still have a few true mom and pop shops left and they can yield some surprisingly good finds...
During a bicycle ride, I came across an old one and went inside..and after a good nosing around I came across an eheim 2260 in a faded box, indicating it had been on the shelf for donkeys years...
Asking how much it was, being old and everything..I was told 140$!
That was too good to pass up, so I bought it on the spot!
Well home I unboxed it and everything was perfect!
Pump works, hoses still nice and soft
The only problem was that the nut and o-ring for the bottom valve were missing...still, a quick search and I had found the missing parts..15$ for both.
So all in all 150$ for a brand new in box eheim 2260 ain't too shabby me thinks.
Oh they also had an eheim 2250, which I also bought, picking that up next Sunday.
