Great GT Growth and Fin Recovery

I've seen a few Cichlids that have that curve to them, like the first picture, does that mean they are underfed? There's a restaurant that has a large JD with a really severe curve, so much so I had to look really close to tell it was a JD, it looked physiologically different.

WOW. Looking good. The first pic looked like the pic was saying "kill me"
and the latest pic looks like he has confidence and ready for a blind date.
I'll be getting a baby next week and I hope he gets good bright colors too

nice, i was in the same situation as you. i got a GT from a lfs and he was the best looking but had badly tattered fins, hes recovered but a part of the fin which got bit off hasnt coloured back, have had him for around 3-4months.

Nice looking fish, his nickname should be "TANK"! You have to love the color of a nice looking GT, the shine from across the room.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I like the nickname tank! Now that he's looking good I'm going to cut down the amount I feed him to lean him out a bit. He's getting to have a nice personality now as well.

maybe cut down on the morning feed? i feed my jags 4 hikari pellets in the morning and 4 at night these are full size jags but that is large pellets.

no reason to cut down on the feeding. to aide in growth they love freeze dried krill. try feeding that to him. Mine love it.
