My tire track I just gave away bit me accidently once when I was feeding him a night crawler. He grabbed on and kept pulling, I gently tapped him on the head till he realized it and let go (left a bruise on my finger). After he was very cautious for a few weeks during feeding time always gently taking the food. Best fish I ever had very smart and personable.
have you ever tired to hand feed the ornate. I think becuase there eye sight is poor they have trouble distinguishing the food from figers. Mine will bump me a few times before going in for a bite.
