Yellows tend to be more aggressive than greens, but have the advantage of staying smaller.

In either case, I would NEVER think of one as 'tame' by any means. I've worked with several adults and young - up to 14 feet long. Nothing a single person should ever get in with. Team work will save your life sooner or later. Feeding is a good point. They go off feed during breeding season, so it's not shocking for them to go 5 or 6 months without eating... especially a wild caught animal. They need a lot of water and a good terrestrial hiding spot.

The most experience I've ever had with an anaconda is holding a baby that a guy I know was selling. But I've poked around anaconda forums and read stories about some of them breaking out of what should have been pretty sturdy cages. As in actually breaking the cage. Don't take my word for it on those stories, but I tell you it's an immensly strong animal.

Theres a snake, I forget what it is called, but maybe someone here knows. Saw it on Jeff Corwins show. He was in the amazon looking at caimans and anacondas, and thought he saw a baby green anaconda. But it wasnt an anaconda. He said exactly what it was, but I cant remember. It looks exactly like a baby green anaconda, and maxes out at about 4-5' if I remember correctly.

I know that isnt a very great discription, but thats all I remember.

Rainbow boas have a similar pattern. Could that have been it?

It was %100 not a Rainbow Boa. I know a Rainbow Boa when I see one. This was DARK green, exact patterns on an anaconda, same exact headshape, everything. But it wasnt an anaconda. I wish I could remember what it was called!

NO anaconda is an even better idea.

They had an Anaconda at the Herp store I went to. It must have been 10 ft. I just hoped they didn't like wurms for dinner.

Jeff Corwins snake was some kind of neotropical water snake. Or maybe it was just 'neoptropical water snake', I dunno. But it was a colubrid.

And just as any herp. anacondas CAN make good pets for the right people.
