Was it a jardini? scales are really dark for its age and green asians are illegal in the U.S aren't they? Sorry for your loss it always sucks losing a fish.

Its a definite possibility its a jar I really don't know much about aros, it looked really light silver with light yellow fins when it was in the tank. All I know is the tank was labeled green aro and he cost me around $50 at 2"

I got a pair of killies , after being told they will jump frequently and get through small holes, I put a reptile screen on their tank to make sure it's all covered up. . Not sure if that solution would work for even a young aro being much larger then a killie.
