all of those posts, like the article, were way too long to read. :)

look people just give him his freakin answer aout the foods directly plz , he is gunna get it anyways so might as well just give this guy the food answer so at least the iguanna eats right

I think it's more that he is determined to get a big lizard to show off to his friends at the bar... I personally would say stick to (attempting) to pick up girls, not large, difficult to care for lizards.

If you must have a lizard to show off, get a Blackthroat Monitor, care is much more simple at least. (Though still not easy..)

Quite evidently he's subject to some minor form of trolling on grounds of typical, foolish teenage hubris and classical laziness. Perhaps the iguana may live for a bit longer and possibly increase his interest in them, so he may then read the articles.

For a decent staple diet. Stick to this. It is bloody short. If you can't read this, I'm not sure if you can actually even read.

For your failure to comprehend large numbers of sentences, an illustrated picture is given here. http://www.anapsid.org/iguana/mksalad.html

Please provide some form of enormous cage for an iguana, about 2m tall and 1m wide. Start off with your youngster at a 40-50 gal.

Iguana's environment should be 75-88° F (24-31° C) with a basking area of 88-95° F (35° C)
during the day, and 70-84° F (21-28° C). Use a zoomed or other good quality UV lights, replace ONCE every six months and ensure that your iguana can get within 30cm of the light rays, do not shine through glass or any other material actually.

I try to be nice, for idiots or otherwise.

thanks i liked the pictures. :) i added them as favorites so i can read them later.

Good. I do hope that throughout the process of keeping your iguana that you remain sane, composed and interested in it. That is the only way any reptile survives in their keeper's hands.

Really? The attitude of this child in this thread is beyond unacceptable.

You are not someone who should be allowed to own any animals let alone something like an iguana that is an advanced creature and requires intensive specialized care.

I can only hope that where ever you try to get your iguana from rejects you and sends you home empty handed... but unfortunately most places don't have enough integrity for that...

God help any creature that ends up in your hands....

i already ordered one from petco. if they didnt give me an iguana i would get a black and white argentine tegu or a nile moniter.

im 6' and i weigh 300 pounds. i dont think they get that big
