Ok so here goes, I love the color green lol.. One day I was just sitting around bored and noticed I had some green led light strips laying around. I instantly thought "Hey! That would look awesome on my 55!" So, I took the strip and cut it as close to the right length as I could get it and kinda just put it up inside where the regular lights go, didn't modify it at all so it looked a little janky with the lights sticking out in the middle on top and on the side where the plug in wire is so one part of the wall was green and the other wasn't...

But anyways I didn't pay attention to that right away, all I could think of was how incredible it looked lol. I was pretty excited and was going to take pictures and put them on here but there was a problem... the lights were too dim to show up in the pictures :\ I was pretty bummed...

So here is where I consult you my fellow fish keepers :D
What I'm looking for:
-Brightness, enough to show up in pictures but not enough to keep the fish up I guess, if that's even possible
-It would be really nice if it was one long light and not a series of lights like in the led strip, I don't like how you can see the line of lights from a low point of view
-Length wise I'd like something that is in the 18-20" range(not including length of cord for plug in)
-Size, I'd like it not to be too bulky, it needs to be able to fit into the space where the regular light goes(This tank is the Petsmart complete setup one if that helps lol)
-Heat, I'm worried about setting any light directly onto the see-through plastic that the light shines through, maybe I could mount it up inside the light box thing.. ideas welcome :)
-GREEN, must be green! (Could come with different color setting where I could switch to different colors but I don't want it to automatically change colors)

That's all I can think of. I tried searching here but couldn't find anything like I need. Then I looked for things on Google that could work and all I found were the light strips and then these: http://www.discountedpetproducts.net/AQUA_COLOR_AQUARIUM_LED_LIGHT_GREEN-P47596.html I considered those, they're cheap lol... but I want the light to cover the whole tank and not just one beam of light...
and then I found this: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/s...hopping_googlebase&om_mmc=shopping_googlebase I think this could work but look at the price. Ouch... but I will keep them in mind if nothing else comes up that's cheaper lol

Thanks in advance y'all :D

So, let me get this right, you want Green that must be Green?

Be careful with colored tank lights, as several types and colors can and will eventually make your fish blind.

YES... some greens are bluegreen... can't have that.... Lol
And really??? I didn't know that some could make them blind :( I'd only be using the green light at night.. more input plz!

I know people use green lights when fishing to attract bait thus attracting game fish, but none of these fish would be prolonged enough to it to know if there are adverse affects, my biggest concern is that it may bother their sleeping, not sure about the blind issue.

green film from craft store and 10W led floodlights should work, id buy 2. nice thing is thay stay cool so it wont melt the film

Hmm I will consider it, but I really would like something I could put up inside the box where the regular light is. That way I could have the normal light on during the day and then the green at night
