So.... I've Had A Small Royal Pleco For About 4 Months Now. Thought I Was Doing Good Up Until I Did A Little More Research And Now I'm Pretty Disappointed In Myself. I've Fed My Pleco A Diet Of Naturally Occurring Algae, Blood Words Algae Wafers (Not Sure If He's Ingesting Them Or My Cichlid Is) And Cucumbers.Through Research It's Become Painfully Apparent That I Need Some Bogwood. My Only Real Question Is What Kind Of Wood Do I Feed My Beautiful Specimen?I've sSeen The Words Bogwood And Driftwood Thrown Around But I've Also Read They Require Multiple Woods To Premote A Healthy Diet. What Woods Do They Like? So Far I've Seen Milaysian And Oak. I've Looked Online To Buy Some But I'm Finding Mostly HorWood And The Websites I've VisitedJust Say "Driftwood" Bogwood""Hornwood" So Is Just Any Wood Ok? Or Should I Find Specific Types Of Wood Like Pine, Oak, Red Oak, Wall Nut Etc... (Not Saying They Should Eat Those Kinds Of Wood But There's Got To Be Some Specific Woods They Thrive On.) I've Also Read That They Really Just Want The Bacteria Out Of The Wood. So Idk What To think Any More.... Someone Guide Me Because I Don't Like Harming Animals Especially If I'm There Lifeline And I Wan My Pleco To Thrive Like All My Other Fish. On A Side Note, I Noticed A Loud Scraping Sound Last NightAnd Turns Out My Pleco Is Eating My Plastic Filter Right where The Water Discharge. Is He Actually Eating The Plastic Or Just Scraping It? Any And All Advice Is Appreciated Thank You!!!!/QUOTE]
