Yes I do acclimate them. Pretty thoroughly with the mandarin. I put a small bucket in the sump so the aquarium water is seperate from his water but I get the benefit of the water surrounding the bucket to keep the temperature constant, and drip acclimate from the tank for around two hours. I only do this because of the fragile nature of the fish. I don't usually go through such pains I must admit.
The cyanide issue was mentioned to me by a buddy of mine. I never thought of that one. I'd ask who would do such a thing but unfortunately our hobby is filled with such horror stories.
Also I suppose I could put one in an isolation tank to get it eating but with the number of pods I have it shouldn't have been a problem. I guess I'll wait till I have a fully functioning 20g add on fuge. I want to get a couple of seahorses and I suppose he'd make a good mate for them. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
