hi there i rescued this retarded mantis from a pet shop, it didnt have enough room to move, hence the shedding went wrong, its wings and case are almost sorta dry, but they are still all wrinkly! it was thirsty and hungry, so i dripped some water onto its claws and it quickly drank that, and then i gave it a baby locust which it grabbed and ate head first..

here are pics, do you think its body will sort its self out? one of its legs it cant use either... any ideas guys? thanks alot :D:D:D:D:headbang2

Did the mantis just shed it's skin? If so then the wings should straighten out. If it was shed a while ago, then the damage is already done. :( But anyways, nice matid! They are neat little guys with a never ending appetite.

Spray your mantids enclosure so it can continue to hydrate it's self and the humidity might help the wings shape up correctly.

After mantids molt/shed and get their wings, they've completed their metamorphism. So your mantis is in it's final stage of life. This little mishap doesn’t mean he/she can’t live a normal life though. Consider it a bad hair day! ;)

ok thanks for athe advice n fast response
im gonna have to ravel with it in my bad in a little transfer tank, do you think it would be ok for like 4-5 hours with water available, protected from cold wind?
