green or Black?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just get both LOL

hope everyones opinion helped.

if you are 100% getting a 8x2x2 then why not wait until you have the tank as a lot of planned big tanks never happens

I don't know if that line about "once you go black..." is accurate about humans. But I am pretty sure it is accurate for Arowanas :)

^ agreed, I had a black about 8 years ago, since then I had a silver for about 3 months (sold at the first sign of DE, can't stand it!) and a green for 18 months, and now after waiting all these years blacks are finally available again!!

I'll second what T1KARMAN said though, get the tank, then get the fish.

i have all the glass now i just need to finish the house because we are renovating right now that's why i cant build the tank yet..
im gonna put the 8x2x2 between our living room and dining room.

I would get the black as it is my personal preference. IMO, eventually the 8x2x2' tank is going to be to small for the black aro, so for you maybe the green would be a better fit.

Greens grow pretty big as well you know, they seem to be the biggest Asians i see here.

those are my two favorites- if you plan on more than one aro, blacks are the way to go- if it will be the only aro in the tank, go green
