Like everyone already said 86 degree's and salt at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons.

I would get some MelaFix, too.

If that spot on it's fin is in fact a secondary bacterial infection you'll know it within a matter of 48 hours - the increased temperatures will make it grow fast.

Keep us posted - if you start to see any kind of cottony or fuzzy growths get some PimaFix in there.

Sounds like Velvet actually. Velvet looks a lot like ich but velvet shows up as smaller yellow or gray dusty spots on the fish. Tropical fish with velvet will have rapid gill movement and may be rubbing on surfaces in the tank. There are a lot of products out there to treat this common tropical fish parasite. For example, Aquarisol works on ich and velvet

do you have a hospital tank, it would save you money on the meds and you wouldn't have to worry about hurting your scaleless fish

No sick tank, I am more worried about the sores on the fins. Raised the temp and added more salt, gonna wait before I try to med the tank. Please keep the advice coming though!

Too late for a QT tank anyway, bacterial and fungal infections need to be treated throughout the entire tank due to how contagious they are - parasitic infections can be treated through removal to a QT.

You really need to get some MelaFix and PimaFix in there - it will save you a world of heart ache if it is in fact somthing secondary to an injury.

I am going to try the melafix, hope for the best!! I will post any updates, thanks for advice!
