Hello. The EBA is 5 inches and I don't know the sex of it. Should I get 2 4 inch females, 2 4 inch males or 2 unsexed little ones? Sorry for all the questions.

Hello. That won't be too much when they are full grown?Just seeing this, personally I would order 4 of the smaller unsexed. I think that would be a nice sized little group. 3 would probably be fine as well. I'd ask for only one male- they may not be able to decipher, but worth a shot.
I think it would be fine with that many cichlids, since these species are pretty "chilled out". If you wanted to play it safe you could stick with the 3, I usually like to have groups of 4 or 5 cichlids to watch them interact. The rainbows only get around 4", eba 5". I would add a few livebearers as well as dithers.Hello. That won't be too much when they are full grown?
They also have Yellow Acaras. What if I did 2 of them and 2 Rainbow? IM also going to be adding 2 GBR'S. Thanks again for all your help. I know IM driving you crazy with all these questions. IM going to place my order now!!! I owe you for all your help!!!! Thank you, Thank you!!!It might be ok since these are relatively mellow cichlids, but I would be worried that if you had breeding pair of the rainbows, GBR's, and acaras, the 55 would not be much room for territory for all of them. There is also the possibility that the EBA and yellow acaras (not sure what species this is) would fight, as cichlids are often more aggressive to fish of their own species or closely related.
Personally I would go with 2 or 3 rainbows and the GBR's and EB. Though I would also mention that my GBR's never seem to do as well with larger cichlids in the tank, they get outcompeted. Also they prefer low pH and soft water. But, you could give it a shot.
