Green Sunfish

how big do they get? what do they eat? how fast do they grow?

I kept these a while back. However, I only kept them to be around 4". Here is a site I have had in my favorites for a while. Hope it helps.

they eat anything, emphasis on carnivorous foods, though.

they prolly grow to 5" very quickly, and progressively slow down, prolly top around 8" after 2-3 years or so. I'm only conjecturing, as I haven't kept one personally.


they tend to be extremely aggressive fish, right in the realm of any mean cichlid.

we catch em with snails we find but when we cant find any we can just use a cigarette butt they love those. MMMMmmmmm

up to 5"-6", and they love to eat spikes, and worms

really ive got a tank of green sunfish, mean they are, but i catch them on a small jig, didnt know theyd eat snails a cigeratte butts...lol
