Green Terror acting strange? Spawning?

The new GT we have has been acting strange the last couple of days, been digging around a rock and rubbing against it, seems like spawning to me but it is the only GT in the tank????

Rubbing against a rock could be a sign of parasites maybe ich

yeah digging would be decorating his territory, but if he is rubbing up against it like itching then that sounds like ich to me. raise the temp to 86 and add a tsp salt per gallon today and another tsp per gallon tomorrow and keep up that temp and salt dosage for 2 weeks making sure to replace any salt you remove through water changes (when i had ich in the past i just wouldn't do a water change during this time, but only do this if your nitrates can still remain under 20ppm)

Thanks for the reply's, the rubbing looks like how i would imagine egg laying, not sure though as i have never had a cichlid spawn before?

Yep very similar to this, he/she does not have a mate though?? A few guys in here sexed it as a female
