I'm not really sure why it looks different, it's kind of hard to tell from the picture (weird angle) but it looks great IMO. I would imagine appearance would have to do with a varied diet, tank mates (competing for food), male/female, stress, water quality/changes etc.?
I'm no pro, I'm learning as much as I can as I go as I'm sure many have and will. Hopefully someone with more experience could chime in and give their input!
