Green Terror and Jack Dempsey size

I had a whale of a JD once! He was easily a foot if not more. Have a 6" male GT now. Best looking Cichlid I've ever owned, I hope he gets around the 10" mark.
If JD can reach a foot, show me a picture with a scale to prove it.
Here is a pic of my 8 year old GT hitting 10" with a scale to measure the size. He maxed out at about 4 year old and hardly grew any more.
I didn't measure him alive. He just dropped dead, not sure from old age or heart attack. He has been fighting for pecking order with a similar size Vieja tankmate just last week, then suddenly stopped eating and died in 3 days with no injury or external symptom.

What was his diet the majority of his life? That is one impressive GT, you raised him well.
