Green Terror and Jag Fighting. What to do?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The GT is 7-8 inches and the Jag is closer to 9. The plan most definitely is to add more ASAP. It is just a challenge to get larger, SA cichlids in the area I live. Smaller city of 85,000. Might be in Vancouver this weekend and try to get a couple more.

you will need 6+ fish, this is from a guy with decent experience in large cichlid comms in a 300g!-)

Add new fish after a water change and re-arrange any rocks/drift wood when you do. Also, add multiple fish at a time if you can instead of just 1 at a time. Much higher chance of success.

Imo Its better to have 1 much larger but not overly aggressive fish when dealing with aggressive cichlids to control dominance, if they are all of the same size control will shift from fish to fish creating an unstable group, each time a fish takes over in my tanks they give the weaker fish a beating to state authority...

I had a GT that lost an eye in a fight with a male Festae so beware of that possibility....

I just added am 8 inch mayan cichlid and 8 inch veija synspilum that I'm sure I paid waaaaaay too much $$$ for today but needed some more fish in this tank. I will try to add some pics but they never want to upload. I'll give it another shot.
