Here are two pictures of the GT. Sorry about the image quality, I had to use the flash on the camera because the GT insisted on hiding in the only cave in the tank!
Ex-Reefer: I can't see the pics right now (at work) but look at the GTs scales very closely. Hopefully they aren't sticking out like a "pinecone." If so it may be "Dropsy" and you're in for some work to save him.
Meanwhile I'll try to find my thread dealing with the same thing. Hopefully that will help.
Wouldn't hurt to get him into his own tank tho for now
