my green terrors recently breed. my lfs said he would give me $2.00 a fish when they get about an inch, there are about 40 to 50 of them right now. im new to this am i gettin screwed, or is this a fair deal?

I agree.The other thing I do is sell to stores when they have none.They pay better money that way.AnDr3w;768629; said:

I think thats about all u will get out of the lfs they want to make 4-5 x their money back i sell rd's and i get a dollar apeice for them and the lfs sells them for 5 or 6 bucks but i can usualy talk my lfs into taking 100 at a time i raise mine in outdoor ponds so i have to sell them off by october 1st.but if your lfs sells gt 's for 10 and u get 2 that sounds about right to me but u can also place a classified add and get a couple bucks apeice for them .second class mail;768553; said:

Where I work, we give 1/3 of what we would sell the fish for; only in store credit. Green Terrors are fairly easy for a store to get (especially when under 3 inches). If you hold onto them until they are as large as possible, and sell them off a few at a time, you will get the best deal.
I think thats a fair deal. My LFS sales GTs for 6.99 and they are around the 3-4inch mark. Not great colors but not really bad also. I'd go for it if I was you. A buddy of mines traded in 40 JD frys around 1inch about 5months ago for only 25bucks. But at the same time he bought his pair of JDs for only $10 a piece so he was happy to make his money back within less then two months..
