Green Terror Growout

They are really slow growers. You can keep him in a 10 gal... Just keep the water parameters perfect. Nitrate will be your enemy.

Just doesnt make sense for that to happen if I were to maintain perfect water quality, which wouldnt be hard to do with one fish and frequent water changes. I could see how something would get stunted in poor water conditions just not with clean water.

For example I was at a pet store and I asked the guy about a green terror he jad just gotten in on a trade and he told me "ya the guy gave it up because it got too big for his ten galln" :) but the fish was awesome looking. THats why I got the idea in the first place. The fish was easily about 5-6 inches

I wonder if the guy at the LFS was either exagerating about it being kept in a 10 gal or simply made up the detail...

Personally, I wouldn't use a 6 or 10 gal tank for GT unless it was a fry tank. I agree with the above opinion that beyond 2" it's not healthy for the fish. Simply put, I do not believe that a GT could, or did, grow to be a healthy looking 5~6" fish in a 10 gal tank.
