Green Terror Growth rate.

Oh his water and everything is perfect and all his fish are very healthy. This particular fish just isn't growing fast. I may have exaggerated just a bit though. The fish was like an inch maybe when he got him and now he is 3.5 maybe 4. I am gunna try to get him to grow a bit faster though.

green terrors are the most slow growing south and central american cichlid.

Some grow almost a 1" a month, but most less then 1/2

I got my GT 2-2.5 months ago. He's grown from around thee inches (if not less) to over four inches. Biggest thing I've noticed is girth. He's in a 55 gallon tank that I keep at 79-81 degree's. PH is in the high 7's. I do weekly water changes of 40%.

I second that. He is filling out first as opposed to getting longer. My midas was thing but lengthy, only after a year or so did he start bulking up. My saum is bulking now, hopefully length later

Def the most owner responsive fish I have too. My midas wanted to kill me, but this saum KNOWS me, and only begs from me.
