Green terror max size?

That has been my experience as well, but plenty of keepers believe in power feeding.

Do you think its feeding or tank space? I was under the assumption (and it is pure assumption) that the large one I saw got so big because he had so much room. He is in a restaurant behind a booth so I assume they probably feed once or twice a day and ignore for the most part. I was never really interested in Green terrors until I saw that monster and the colors a large male could display.

Reason I say 14 inches is because at Newquay aquarium(in England) there is a 15 ft long 2 ft high 12 ft wide Amazonian aquarium with about 200 convicts, 200 earth eaters, a blood parrot, few green terrors. There was one green terror witch was about 12-14 inches that had a huge hump and then there was a smaller one witch looked like they were a pair. So that why I said 14 but 12 is more sensible

I would say it is a combination of good genetics, good water quality, plenty of tank space and plenty of available food. IME those are the factors that have the biggest impact on ultimate size.

So the two of us that saw 14"ers were both in very large aquariums. So I guess that size probably isn't common for home aquarium which is a shame because that is what i had in mind for my little guy. sort of bummed out now
