Green terror not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tanks already got aquarium salt in it. Will the epsom be too much? Or don’t worry about it. Prepared to do my first dose today
Epsom salt is different than regular salt. Ok to add.

Mouth looks Ok to me, I was worried it might be a bacterial infection like columnaris, from your description.
With that type infection, the fish stops eating, and the jaw locks up, but it also tends to gradually separate more each day, as below, which yours does "not " appear to be.

as the disease progresses, the jaw further separates, as the jaw atrophies. and death soon follows.
If you were to try to push the jaw back into place, with this disease, it feels unable to be moved

Hey all!

Still not eating. Seems to getting a little swelling in his belly. Should I try injecting epsom salt directly into stomach?

Can try injecting some Epsom salt into the mouth.

If this fails, is there anything else I can try? Well over a week since he stopped eating and now has a swollen belly.

What temperature of the tank?

Increasing temperatures will improve the metabolism and could help the fish pass waste. How often are you doing water changes? How big are all the fish? I don't want to call you a list but I find it hard to believe that you can maintain low nitrates with your tank stocking. Easily overstocked. Even if fish are not full grown.

I suspect a combination of stressful environment, poor water, and possibly internal problem which green terrors tend to have lots of sensitivities.

So many threads of green terror with constipation or bloat or internal parasites ect
