Depends on the size. Large males will show large hump on the fore head.
Juvies females will have less shimmer in the scales more of a greyish olive drab color. females have no pettern in the fins before the colored saum. males have reddish netting type pattern before the saum.
My wife is from Erie. when I was out there we visited a shop called Buzs N B's they looked like a very nice shop. Never done business with them but see if they can order one. That is what I had to do, my LFS ordered the ones I have.
8-9" long sneaky aggressive. My 13" jaguar rules the tank this GT always comes right down on top of him wherever he is; when the Jag turns and faces him the GT runs off like "it wasn't me" Funny stuff. He does push around everyone else in the tank. He is the only GT I've had over the years that lives up to his name. Most I would classify as not so aggressive.
