so i got a green terror 2 weeks ago and whenever i walk by it freaks out and hides for like an hour is their something wrong?

Tell us more about your tank and the GT. How big is it? What size tank? What kind of decor is in the tank? Is it eating? Tankmates? Where is the tank located in your house, is it a high traffic area? Anything else that might help.
I have had cichlids that act very skittish before and they have outgrown that normally. My Gt was always very personable even from day one. But every cichlid is different.

its probuly 1.5 inches in a 55 gallon (for now) caves and rocks two live plants ithe tanks at the bottom of my stairs in the basement and im the only one who walks by.
Green Terrors are skittish fish when they are small. They usually become less skittish as they get used to their tank, and as they grow
Every cichid I've had in isolation/qt has exhibited this kind of behavior, except for our Midas. Tankmates have always helped especially with smaller fish. Dither fish can help.
If its the only fish in the tank, it is probably just scared. More fish in the tank will help that problem
