GREEN TERROR! [questions!]

Mine started showing great colors as soon as I got them on a healthy varied diet. Even at 2.5" they looked great. See the attached image.

Since this picture was taken a couple weeks ago they have already grown almost an inch and their colors are extraordinary!

Should be ok with the clown, in most cases they are, but cichlids temperaments are so variable.

I git this new guy here... He is like 2 inches... SOMEBODY PLEASE ANSWER AAAALLLLLLLLL
OF MY QUESTIONS!!

1. When will he really start to color up. I've had males color up at 3". Your's may get marginally more colorful since it's a female.
2. Are they compatiable with a clown knife (when full grown...) They (males) will reach 10"+ and can take care of themselves when in good health. They can be prone to extended hunger strikes.
3. Can it get to 12 inches in a220 gallon tank??? Yes, again with good water, food, and low stress conditions (not being dominated by other tankmates)
4. HOW FAST WILL HE GROW??? Will most likely take 18-24 months to reach full size (~12")
5. Is it M or F?? Female (99% sure)

Good luck with your "new guy" er girl!
Here's my "guy", at 10". King of his 180G.

I make my own fishfood from blended shrimp, catfish fillet, peas, a healthy dose of spirulina, and garlic cloves. This is their main diet. They get hikari crisps, dried shrimp, and blood worms as treats. I feed the bloodworms the least. I highly recommend making your own fishfood. I've seen amazing results in growth and coloration. And ounce for ounce it is much cheaper than the processed wheat and corn based foods found in your lfs.
