Green Terror tank mates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I also say silver dollars. My GT was very mellow untill it hit about 7 inches then the terror came out. lol

Yeah I've been looking into silver dollars for a few weeks now

although they look nice , personally I find s.d's boring and very skittish (so hopefully yr tank isn't in a 'high traffic' area of the house) . My g.t Sauron is a nightmare , killed a gold severum , convict & j.d already and is now terrorising my midas who is nearly the same size :irked:

Idk I would just like to make some sort of community with my GT as my center piece any ideas?

Yeah but I don't think I can keep a dozen in a 110 with a large green terror... Yes that would give me plenty of movement but i really want what is
Best for all the fish and not over crowd. I would upgrade to a
Bigger tank but as of right now our home is not large enough for anything
Bigger than what I have

I kept mine with convicts, there was plenty of interaction. Both of mine were mellow too. Firemouth can also work. I would put a few smaller cichlids (convict, firemouth, cutteri, sajica etc, there is planty to choose from) with him and maybe a school of boesemani rainbows. ( i don't like the SD either) or some roseline sharks. Clown loaches r very active too if u get a group.

I would like some clown loaches just the only ones here are very small m I'm afraid they would become lunch

With my gt i have a pictus cat, silver dollars, a jd, a blue gourami, and plecos. everyone knows he's boss and even between the cichlids i never had any issues. the jd knows he's not king and almost all aggression comes when i get my gt glass banging he goes nuts and after my hand it gone he chases the jd for about 5 min

A salvini may work, but it depends on the temperament of the sal. They can be like your GT or super aggressive.
I have two spot astyanax tetras which are great w/ cichilds. They are a fast, schooling tetra that gets to be 6" full grown. They can be hard to find, but I highly recommend them.
