Green terror tank mates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMO it depends on the personality of your fish and what actions you take when you see aggression among tank mates. I have a 75 wide and the newest addition to my "Misfit tank" is a pair (M&F) of GT's.
My Misfit tank current house fish I have rescued from other fish keepers such as a Jack Dempsy, Blood Dragon, Red Devil, Jaguar, two Trimacs, Red Empress, some Mbunas and a few others. A lot of people told me I can't mix SA with Africans or the water parameters will stress some of the fish to death etc. The GT seem to fit in quite well with my Misfits and is ok😉.
My advice get a 10 gallon tank and set it up make sure the water is right, then go find yourself a tank mate for your GT. If you introduce the new fish and it don't work out, remove the fish and put it in the 10 gallon tank or better yet remove the GT, change the decor around and the following day reintroduce the GT and see what happens. Always make time to hang around when introducing new fish so you can keep an eye on them. I say this because some of the fish I have received would have made great show fish but IMO the person left the fish in the tank too long and the fish ended up with damaged fins, missing gill plates etc... If you can't get a ten gallon tank get a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot with a lid (4.00) and set up a air pump to house the fish instead of leaving it in a tank where it could be killed. Sorry for any typos, txt from my phone, just my .02
