Green Terror With White Stringy Feces

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm having the same problem with my green terror as well, though mine is approximately 6-7 inches. Everything about him appeared normal except about five days ago he became anorexic and just yesterday I noticed his feces is white.

He is currently in a quarantine tank and has had one treatment of Parasite Guard by Tetra as of yesterday and I plan to repeat the treatment again tomorrow.

I went to my LFS where I was told that this medication should help, if not there is the Epsum salt that I was told works really well (which you mentioned that you've tried). There is also Metro+ which I've read works well.

Good Luck!

Well, he's on his third day of the treatment and I think he's pretty much done for. Yesterday, I thought I saw an improvement as I couldn't see any stringy mess. But when I got up this morning, he had a few inches of waste stuck to him and he was hiding under a log - he NEVER does this. I'll continue the treatment for as long as he's hanging in there but I'm preparing for the worst. If anyone has any suggestions, now's the time. :(
