Is this breed slow growers? And how big do they usually get?
I have one thats between 8 -10 roughly and its between 2 -3 inches.
It was in a 55 gal with some big fish and I'm wondering if they stunted its growth. Its now in a 30 of its own for now, just wondering if it will start growing again now?
 
Its eight to ten months old? Terrors are slow growers. Usually the growth rate doesn't slow until they reach about 5 inches or so respectively. Males can reach 10-12 inches, and females around 8 inches.

I honestly cant remember...but I got him last spring and he was about 1 - 1/2 inch so I would guess a month old at that point..so roughly 9 months old...he seems very healthy..but he was in a 55 with a JD and a Texas that were over 5 inches each. My question was could this have stunted his growth and now that he is in his own tank will he start to grow again or he now at his full size?
 
Mine had a very rough start as well due to internal parasites. It's about 1 and 1/2 years old and just under the 5" mark including tail. He's really starting to grow out now.
 
mine grew mabey 1" in 4-5 months
 
i never thought GTs as slow growers until i got one, but 9 months and its 2-3 inches thats pretty slow, mine is 3-4 inches and i got him at a round 1.5 inches in September. Do you do water changes often?
 
Jeeze, I've only had mine 2 months or so and he/she's grown at least an inch.

I think a variety of foods, fed in small doses 3-4 times a day along with frequent water changes really makes the difference.
