i saw what looked like a green terror at a lfs for $10 and was wondering what about these guys, like tank size, diet, ph level all that kind of stuff? It looked like a awesome fish and i wanted to pick him up.

Not really the right place for this question, but... They grow to be fairly large size. 8 to 10 inches. They need at least a 55 gal tank. They are American cichlids not African. Ph of 6.5 to 7.5. Temp from 76 to 80. Mine loves Pellets and Worms.

I really enjoy mine..

lol yes, they are south american.

As stated, SA. I'm waiting for my four to turn into monsters.

I like GT's they are pretty cool fish. I used to own one my self =] However $10 is a little much for one. I believe pH is in the 6-7 range and the tank would prob. need to be minimum of a 55 gal.Yes they are south american. I will move this so people with more experience can answer your questions =]

Yea, they're South Americans so this'll probably get moved. There's a Green Terror picture sticky thread that's awesome. Mine is super cool, I love him. They get average 9-10" or so, a 75 gal would be good with tankmates. My male gets along with all other fish except other male cichlids. Even tiny Tetras. Next to my Oscars he's right up there as my next favorite fish.

I love mine....I think I paid 3.99 for him at my LFS....He is about 4 to 5 inches now.

Alright i have a temporary growout tank of 67g, and do you think that he could go in there with a 6" longnose gar, 5" Clown Knife, 4" Clown Knife and 4" channel catfish, not trouble yet with them yet, had this tank setup for about a month, thinking about throwing him in there hes about 4-5". i havnt gone and gotten him yet so give me some feedback and ill see if i can get this guy for cheaper cause i love the color, could i put some tank mates in a 67g tank?
