yeah but we dont control a fish's behavior. they are the way they arePyramid_Party;3133344;3133344 said:What I dont understand, is why does a fish have to be aggressive? Whats the purpose? If the fish is attractive and intelligent this is what should count. The only time you need a fish to be tough is when its among other pushy and aggressive fish. And this should only be for them to defend themselves. Why do you want a fish to be a maniac? I dont know about you, but I dont liek having fish die and keep spending money on more. The best way is to have a balanced tank and have fish that work together.
Yes, but you have to use common sense sometimes. Some people will put a fish that is too aggressive with a community of less aggressive fish. You have to have balance. You have to know what works together. For a long time I have not had any fish fatalities. Theres been a few times where one fish got out of control and I removed that fish. I dont wait around for it to kill anything. I remove fish and try a different species until I get a mix that works. Right now my tank is perfect. The cichlids I have are a perfect match. Theres some occasional nipping, bumping, gill flaring etc, but nothing major. None of them want to kill eachother. They are very social and like to interact with eachother, there is not a big bully in there wreaking havoc on everyone.jcardona1;3133353; said:yeah but we dont control a fish's behavior. they are the way they are
