Nice pics everyone. I'm wondering why some gt's have a big knot on there head' some have a small one and some have pretty much none. I will get one of these for sure when I get another tank setup for them. What's max size? They r beautiful fish and if they have a more interactive personality that's even better!

It really depends all on genatics. but the males are the ones to have the nuchal hump but not all males get it. An average size for them is about 8-10 inches. Though some will be smaller and some will be larger. Keep plenty of veggies in there diet and keep the water clean. Diffently a great fish to have in the collection

Then the one at pet smart must have been good genetics cause he had a huge hump on his head. I bet he is gone now. His hump looked like the first gt posted in this thread
