I hate it when that happens, since u tried rearanging and it didn't work u could try adding more hidding places and breaking the line of sight as suggested and u can also try lowering the temp to the lower limit. It is said that it lowers their metabolism and decrese agressivity, but haven't tried it personally yet. I prefer just taking them back and getting a smaller one or smth else instead.
Thanks but I don't have anymore hiding places I can add to the tank...if I did though I would for sure add them. I have about 50 pounds or so of natural rock if not more and also lots of plants as well as a couple big pieces of driftwood. All he does though is go around the "barriers" I create. As far as the temperature, its always at a steady 76 degrees. Also, I said that it was a green texas and that was my bad; I dunno why I said that. I meant to say they're regular texas cichlids. & I believe I've found out the problem as to why hes so aggressive all of a sudden. His color is darker in the back half of his body and lighter in the front half of his body. He was all light colored on his body before this aggression, so I looked it up and tried to find out why his colors had changed. Come to find out, he is in "breeding mode". This explains why hes always swimming with my bigger parrot cichlid and "vibrating/shaking" when hes near the bigger parrot cichlid.
