Green Tree Frogs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They don't seem to mind one another's company (except when calling). I don't think 10 in a 33 is outrageous in a densely decorated tank, but I wouldn't go higher than that. It's more important to have enough hides/perches for each frog than a given volume of space.

They have 3 60W light bulbs on them during the day and the apartment is at least 75 degrees (but it has been taht way all the time) The real plants are a small palm tree and an ivy. They have some fake ones too. A long vine from pets unlimited and three suction cup hanging plant things from pets unlimited. They have a fish bowl for water and a turtle dock for a ledge on the tank. They have many stick from back home in the sticks (no chemicals) So they have lots to do in my mind. They always have live crickets to hunt.
I am trying my best here hahaha

You ever see Cuban tree males even when not calling.

I took one out of screened patio (one in pic) let it go in yard by pond and what a SCREAM of anger another male that was in pond gave lol.

The greens are so mild compared to CTF.

They're probably fine. Inctivity is not necessarily a sign of poor health or stress; fat and happy frogs like to lay around.

That's funny! I haven't been around Cubans. GTF scuffles aren't bad, but they do get a little irritable when another male gets too close to their chosen calling site. They'll give a warning rasp, then pounce on the other frog. If the other frog stays a couple feet away, everything's copasetic.

What is temp in tank ?. It might be to hot. 3 -60 watt bulbs might be to strong.

Keep in mind they need humidity and that might dry them out. They aren't that bright that they go in water they need you to mist them few times a day .

Here even when not breeding season they are out in their glory right after a rain . It might be that since Jan/Feb here are so dry they don't "go out" .

I like Green tree frogs a lot real neat and cute.
