Green Tree Python not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
By reading the 1st post, looks like the OP fed 4 weeks ago (or more).
So, considering the age of the GTP and what would be the size of the prey item, most likely the digestion process is more than done (more than 3 weeks ago)

Another good hint to know if they are in shed, specially when young, is the way they place the head in the coil.
A good number of neonate-to-yearlings GTP´s (and even some adults) place the head sideways in the coil when coiled (in a goofy way). As Miguel mentioned, their heads swollen and it becomes a bit unconfortable for them, so this is a way to try to avoid such uncomfort.

Another thing I´d like to point out referres to your first post and the feeding atempts.

You said that in mere 2 weeks you tried "live, frozen, leaving in cage over-night, braining, and chicken broth".
How were you able to try all of that in 2 weeks? You offered food every other day?
If so, I would recommend against it. Even if she was off food, insisting that much would only aggravate the issue because it stresses GTP´s a lot. By doing that even if there is no "off food problem", you may start one.

Offer on the same week day. If she eats, great; if she doesn´t wait one week and offer again.

Neonates can be 8+ weeks without food without problems; yearlings to sub-adults several months; adults can be a year+ without food.
Adult males usually fast 6-7 months per year.

They´re prepared to that. So as long as they are hydrated, don´t worry.
I wasn't offering food everyday it was more like once-twice a week. I meant the first week i got her i tried a brained pinkie and she didt eat and a couple days later i tried the chicken broth still would't eat. Than a week after that she ate a frozen fuzzy for the first time and i did't do anything to it (I left it in the enclosure over-night) and than this week i tried live because i had no frozen and she didn't eat. I wasn't offering food everyday because I know they get stressed easy. In the pic i attached she is perched pretty strangly so I can't tell if her head is "sideways"

it is difficult to see, with yellows. but she might be in the shed's final stages....
Main thing to stress a GTP ( and they stress easily ) is owner stress.

The thing does not want to eat, leave it be. Give it one week before any other attempt.

Do not leave food ( live or dead ) in her terrarium. 99% it is worse.

As João pointed out, they can go for a very long time without food.

also, if that is your only perch, you are keeping her incorrectly.

GTP's need a straight, horizontal, perch. She is not confortable perched as she is in your pix.

No frills, no luxuries. Give her straight, horizontal, perches.
