Finally after numerous water changes, various foods to bring the female into condition and watching the pair almost kill each other while going through their pre spawn, they laid what looks like 500-600 eggs!!!
Lol, I'd prefer not to have .5" fry travel across the country to get to me. Plus I don't really have room to grow out little babies right now, lol. And you weren't kidding when you said they near killed each other, that female's mouth looks messed up. XP Any dithers in the tank or are you the only one?
Thanks guys. Here are some more shots of the male. They were a little freaked out by the flashes so I didn't get many pics of them spawning. My arm was under attack when I removed the eggs to hatch them in another tank. Couldn't risk losing them if the pair bond broke down!!!! They have since been divided again and the female has started to heal up already.
